Where To Eat Near Times Square?
Let’s face it, it’s tough finding good eating in the grid between Times Square and The Garment District. For all the office workers, students and tourists that frequent this area, your dining options are fast food. Not good for your waistline or your health. For those that wish there were better dining options, Cheapeats has the place for you.
Wasabi Sushi Bento is a casual spot, located on the corner of 7th Avenue and West 40th street, that offers sushi that you can take away or dine in. Originally from the UK, Wasabi has set it eyes on the US and New Yorkers are rejoicing. The fish is fresh and sustainably sourced. They feature over 50 types of seafood, that are individually wrapped and range in price from $1.50 – $3.50. Everything is prepared fresh daily. If Sushi isn’t your thing, they also offer salads. soups and hot food.
Cheapeats was graciously invited to sample their fare and let me say, we weren’t disappointed. The salmon taki – which is seared salmon, was buttery, juicy and SOOOOOO fresh. Spicy tuna roll, to die for. And of course, what sushi meal would be complete without edamame . I was impressed with the packaging, service and ambiance. You can shop the shelves to pick and mix their various sushi and sashimi options. Or you can visit the hot food and salad counter for another option. Dine in or out, your choice.
Here’s a recap of our experience there.
Thank you Wasabi for bringing quality food to the area that won’t break the bank.
Happiness, $25 and under.
