The Gulf Coast has a reputation for fun times and great food. Feasting on some jambalaya while drinking a cold one. Can you find good Cajun cooking in New York? Need a fun spot to meet your friends and grab a beer? Live Bait does both.

Live Bait’s decor is a step into the trailer park and bait shack. Tacky but kitschy decor including fish, license plates from back in the day and fishing nets. But don’t let that fool you, this place is hopping and the food is delish.

Burgers, crab cakes, pulled pork, fried catfish and hush puppies are some of the house specialities. At night the music is loud and the bar is full. The after work crowd from Credit Suisse, Met Life and New York Life hit this bar on a regular basis. Ladies…hint, hint.

If you’re looking for white tables clothes and a stuffy environment, you’ve come to the wrong place. But if you’re looking for elbows on the table and peanuts shells on the bar, you’ve come home.
