Long Island Restaurant Week November 7 – 14

Fall is upon us. The air is crisp. The leaves are changing  and the bounty of the Autumn harvest is upon us. It’s the perfect time to head out east and enjoy the charm of the country, visit a local farm or winery,  minus the summer crowds.

After a recent Saturday spent driving around the Hamptons, I thought to myself…..”Why don’t I come out here more often?’.  The beaches are beautiful. The air is fresh. The towns are quaint. Cool shops and of course,  great eating. One look at the bill for lunch, I remembered…..$$$$$$.

Cheapeats is always on the hunt for dining deals and here’s the latest for the Bridge & Tunnel crowd and New Yorkers looking to get out of the city.  The 5th Annual Long Island Restaurant runs from November 7th – 14th and offers a 3 course prix fixe dinner menu for $24.95. Nassau County, Suffolk County and East End, they have it covered.

Fill up the tank, reserve a car, hop on the train and zip out to enjoy some great dining.
