Flavors From Around The World

The challenge that most restaurateurs have these days is innovation and creativity. How can they seperate themselves from the competition and be creative enough to keep their patrons coming back  for more. And of course, serve good food. There’s one place in Gramercy that is doing just that and the locals keep coming back for more.

Galaxy Global Eatery‘s mantra is Global Cuisine. They take recipes and  ingredients from around the world and serve up dishes that are delicious, creative and healthy. They offer vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options that any carnivore or fast food junkie would love. As well as meat, chicken and seafood.

Their categories are creative and kitschy. Starz (Staters), Phish (Fish) Meatzy’s (Meat) to name just a few. Where else can you find Bison Steak, Organic grass fed Bison Chili and Seitan Enchiladas under one roof? Their desserts are to die for too!!! What I love most,  is that you can indulge because they’re healthy. Their pies have hempnut crusts and are made with fresh and organic ingredients.

Some of my favorites dishes are their Turkey Meatloaf with mashed potatoes and sauteed spinach. Thai’d Pizza which is basically an Asian burrito with a side salad that is crunchy, tangy and hits all your flavor pallettes. Their Apple and Key Lime Pies are my go to desserts. So decadent without the guilt.

What’s even more unique, is their decor. When you step in, you feel like you’re stepping into a space ship. Silver furniture, black walls and pychodelic lights fill the room. It’s a little too dark for my preference but I get the concept.

Their menu, concept and mission are one of the most creative I’ve seen in a long time. They are very progressive and committed to bring harmony to the planet. Not many can do that and serve up food that scrumptious.

Fans, give them a try. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Happiness, $25 and under.
