Tired of the same old dining options in Midtown West?  Welcome in Glaze Teriyaki Grill 60 West 56th StreetInspired by Seattle’s rich teriyaki history, and building on the success of GLAZE’s 3 current locations (Midtown East, opened fall 2010; and Union Square, opened fall 2012; San Francisco, opened spring 2013), Founder and Seattle-native, Paul Krug, along with Head Chef Dennis Lake, former Executive Chef at Rosa Mexicano, team up again to bring Seattle’s treasured street food to the city that never sleeps. The hustle and bustle of Midtown West made the busy neighborhood an ideal location, offering enticing fresh, quick and tasty lunch or dinner options for those dining-in or ordering delivery.

GLAZE utilizes high-quality, locally sourced, all natural and organic ingredients whenever possible to offer guests one-of-a-kind, good-for-you, guilt-free food. The open air kitchen allows diners to watch entrées such as chicken breast, chicken thigh, hanger steak, salmon, boneless pork loin, wok vegetables and soy marinated tofu char-grilled to order.  Entrees are then topped with GLAZE Teriyaki Grill’s famous teriyaki sauce, freshly-made daily and rendered popular due to its combination of light, smoky, caramel flavor, sweetness of whole apple and pineapple, and hints of garlic and ginger. In addition, every GLAZE entree is available in a gluten-free version. Those who want to “heat” up the GLAZE experience can choose spicy, extra spicy, or for the very brave, the hottest around. Guests can also sample flavorful sides such as Crispy Gyoza Dumplings with homemade dipping sauce; Charred Pork Rib with spicy asian BBQ sauce; or Cold Soba Noodle Salad plus grilled organic tofu square, salmon or chicken salads with delicious homemade dressing. Because no meal is complete without dessert, GLAZE Teriyaki Grill is partnering with Brooklyn-based and Smorgasburg favorite, The Brownie Boy, to serve decadent, made-from-scratch gourmet brownies; also available is Glaze’s signature dessert: Housemade Toasted Almond Rice Pudding.

GLAZE Teriyaki Grill has partnered with Seattle-based Jones Soda Co. for an All-Natural Soda fountain offering guests a rainbow of choices to sip with their meal.

The space is a feast for the eyes—celebrated Brooklyn-based design and construction firm, HeCHO Inc., has tapped into the GLAZE vibe, creating a laid-back yet energetic environment for the buzzing Midtown West space. Remaining true to GLAZE’s commitment to environmental responsibility and HeCHO’s philosophy, many of the design elements are created from reclaimed materials, giving the interior a one-of-a-kind historic, yet funky, feel. Wood from an 1873 prison church was used for the restaurant’s tables, benches, and counters, and multicolored wainscoting was brought in from a 1920’s West Virginia general store. Boldly creative laser-etched panels, hand-painted with images inspired by New York City landmarks, are showcased in the dining room along with vintage wall coverings throughout the eatery’s space.
