A Healthy Hot Dog?

What’s more American than a Hot Dog? But, as much as we love Hot Dogs, we cringe when we think what’s in them. What if I told you that you can have a Hot Dog that is Organic, Healthy and TASTES GOOD. Impossible you say? Not anymore, thanks to NYC HEALTHY BITES.

NYC HEALTHY BITES is a food cart that travels around NYC and serves the most AMAZING hot dogs and burgers that will satisfy Carnivores, Vegetarians and Vegans.

It was started by the husband & wife team of George & Katherine Jankovic,  who saw that fast food wasn’t healthy food. So, they set out to serve food that was simple, inexpensive, organic and healthy. What’s the simplest food around? Hot Dogs and Burgers.

Here’s how it works.

  1. 1. Choose your dog
  2. Organic Beef

Organic Chicken

Sweet Italian Chicken Sausage (MY 2nd FAVE)

Spicy Jalapeno Chicken Sausage

Italian Vegan Sausage with sun dried tomato & basil (MY FAVE)

2.  Choose your bread

Classic Bun

Whole Wheat Bun

3.  Choose your style

Diablo Dog – their signature dog that has a Mexican flair  with the most delectable cilantro sauce. (MY FAVE)

Sweet Dog – caramelized onions, relish and mayo

Greek Dog – crisp cucumber, tomato, olives, feta with a creamy garlic yogurt sauce. (MY FAVE FAVE)

German Dog – classic sauerkraut, spicy mustard and paprika. (MY 2nd FAVE)

Alamo Dog – their latest creation with a chipotle sauce

Make Your Dog – Just like it reads

THEY’RE ALL SO GOOD, IT’S HARD TO CHOOSE!

If hot dogs aren’t your thing, they feature Vegan Burgers (Black Bean and Bollywood).

Besides sharing their love around town, they also offer catering services. Hear that Mom & Dad…..kids will LOVE it.

You MUST, MUST, MUST try NYC Healthy Bites. Their tag line says it all;

“SATISFY YOUR CRAVING WHILE STILL BEHAVING.”
