Where To Grab Lunch For Under $10?

In between a crazy day of meetings, I felt the hunger pains calling me. FEED ME! FEED ME! But when I get like this, it’s really hard for me to decide what and where to eat. Lucky for me, the choice was easy.

El Centro is a Mexican Cantina in Midtown West. The interior is very kitchy with Formica tables, vinyl couches, bottle caps and Milagros covering the walls. I grabbed a seat and started nibbling on chips and salsa.

Looking over their lunch menu, I knew exactly what I wanted. Grilled Salmon Wrap.

Fresh Grilled Salmon with avocadoes and greens wrapped in a flour tortilla. I passed on the fries and went with a side salad instead. (So proud of me) The fish was moist and smoky from the grill with a creamy aioli. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS.

Their menu features the usual suspects. Tacos, Empanadas, Quesadillas and Burritos, but with their own twist added.

My delicious lunch only cost me $9.95. But the cherry on the sundae….Kurt Russel and Goldie Hawn stopped in. 🙂

Happiness, $25 and under.
