NEWS ALERT! BIRDS EYE is releasing a new line of  Chef’s Favorite Steam Fresh Dishes. These Chef inspired vegetable dishes are the perfect compliment to any meal and are ready in under 5 minutes.

As a featured Foodbuzz publisher, Cheapeats was shipped a free sample to cook up before they hit the stores in September. After all, FREE is the ultimate Cheapeats.

We wanted to see if we could turn a simple meal into a delicious and gourmet meal. First step, grilling up a simple Turkey Burger. Basic but bland. How about some tasty side dishes?  So we chose Risotto Primavera and Creamed Spinach.

Place the frozen veggies (in their bag) in the microwave and cook for 5 minutes. Let them sit for a few minutes, then tear open and serve. Could it really be that easy? Yes it is.

I put my burger on a plate and served up the sides. Looks good. Smells good. But how does it taste? Delicious!!! Creamy, light and full of flavor. I can’t believe this only took 5 minutes to make.

Now, you can season them to your taste but for me, they were fine. So be on the lookout in September for this new line of sides. A great meal in under 5 minutes.
