Where To Go For Brunch?

What’s our favorite past time on a Saturday? Brunch. But it can get old and boring. Well Cheapeats has the spot for you that will shake things up.

Pranna has launched their new Mad 28 Brunch. I had the pleasure of sampling it courtesy of Eline Horemans and Janine Just of the Blaq Group. So I grabbed my bestie and off we went.

Pranna is a fusion of Asian and Indian cuisine. The ambiance is tres chic with high ceilings, white walls and sleek furniture. There is a upstairs lounge for private parties and a cool bar scene on the lower level. Certainly not your ordinary brunch spot.

My friend and I are seated, order a Mimosa and prepare to experience our Mad 28 Brunch. After studying the menu, I decide on the Quiche and my friend orders the Tuna Sashimi Salad and of course 2 more Mimosas. It’s Brunch after all!!!

When our plates are placed in front of us, we gasp. What a work of art.

Picture it – Spinach and Goat Cheese Quiche. Creamy and tangy. Sitting on a buttery and flaky crust. A side of Potato & Cauliflower sauteed with onions and a hint of curry. (Not your standard hash brown) Turkey sausage and a salad of mixed greens dressed in a light vinaigrette. PERFECTION ON A PLATE.

The Tuna Sashimi Salad had Grilled Ahi Tuna over mixed greens and grilled asparagus. When my friend asked if she could substitute a poached egg for the hard boiled egg, our waiter responded; “Absolutely, not a problem.”

To sum it up. The food was AMAZING!!! The service was IMPECCIBLE!!!  The experience was FABULOUS!!!! How much did this experience cost????  $28. Yes, I realize it’s a little over $25 but well worth it.

Let me recap it for you. A 2-3 component entree with 3 cocktails. That’s right, 3 cocktails included for $28. Choice of Mimosa, Bellini or Bloody Mary. Heck, have all 3.

LET THE CELEBRATION BEGIN!!!!!
