Dear British Airways,

Please excuse the tardiness of this post,  but  I wanted to say THANK YOU for giving Cheapeats the opportunity to enter and win the Bristish Airways Face to Face Challenge. The experience was not only memorable but empowering. From the moment I stepped foot into the conference in New York, my life was forever changed. Chatting with my fellow entrepreneurs and sharing our experiences, challenges and resources moved me beyond words. Starting a business can be so scary and sometimes lonely. Many days it’s just you against the world. Trying to get people to give you a shot or to see your vision. There are good days and there are bad days. But it’s that fire in our bellys, that keep us moving forward. Being able to share those stories with those that can relate was so comforting. Instantly there was a sense of community amongst all of us and the knowledge we learned and brought to the table, was priceless.

Simon Talling-Smith – EVP of BA couldn’t have been more cordial, patient and engaging with all of us. I can’t imagine having to socialize with 250 winners, personnel, speakers and making sure this event was going off without a hitch. He and the entire BA staff did it with compassion and grace. Cheers to you.

Meeting Keith Williams – CEO of BA,  Lord Stephen Green – UK Minister for Trade and Investment,  and Sir Clive Woodward – Performance Director, British Olympic Association  was an incredible opportunity and one that I would have never achieved on my own.

It’s not very often that you see a large corporation recognize that entrepreneurship is the future not only to your customer base but also to its success. Making this HUGE investment in a down economy is risky and admirable and  I applaud British Airways for taking the gamble. You are leaders of vision and can only only hope that others will follow by your example.

The creative juices have been flowing since this event and I haven’t been able to let go of London, a city so dear to my heart, since. The global plans and dreams for Cheapeats that were once a far away dream, have been pushed forward to a realistic future. And you have a BA customer….FOR LIFE.
