The End Of An Era At Benitos II

It comes with great sadness to learn that the owner of Benitos II has recently passed. He was a colorful man who shared many stories of his travels through Europe and the day to day happenings at the restaurant. He made sure your dining experience was enjoyable and that you always left with a full belly.

At times he was brash but that was part of his charm. I’ve dined here for over a decade and every meal was outstanding. I don’t know the future for this neighborhood spot and saddens me to think that it’s probably the end.

Rest in piece my dear Sal. I’m sure those in heaven are enjoying a great bowl of pasta, a glass of wine and some funny stories.
