Taste of Thailand in Queens

Thai FoodI am not a snob. I’ll get down with the peeps. Dine outside of NYC.  That’s right folks. I do leave the island to meet friends for dinner. And as usual, I pick the restaurant. So on a venture to Astoria my pick was Benjamas. Boy did I choose right.

This spot is steps from the Broadway Station on the N, W line.  Convenient. Brightly decorated with wood and colorful blues and orange. Cool atmosphere. But the food is the star of the show. Red and Green Curry, Basil Fried Rice, Cripy Whole Fish. Can you deliver to Manhattan?

It was fresh and full of flavor. Like a party in your mouth. The staff were just great. An added bonus to the experience.  Some of the best Thai I’ve ever had.

If you live in Astoria, you must check them out. You won’t be disappointed.

Happiness, $25 and under.
