Easy Peasy No Bake Dessert

Mixing bowlNeed an easy dessert that even a child can make? Then this is for you. The first dessert I learned to make as a child was my Grandmother’s “Ice Box” cake. Still a favorite and quick and easy to put together. Ingredients are usually found in your pantry.

All you need is:

1 box of chocolate pudding (cook or no-c00k)

1 box of vanilla pudding (cook or no-cook)

1 box of  graham crackers (any brand)

                                                        Milk

8×8 square pan (pyrex or metal)

                                                         Whipped Cream – optional

Prepare both flavors of pudding according to the directions on the box. Don’t like vanilla or chocolate? Swap out whatever flavors you want. Make sure they’re cooled before assembling.

Take your pan and line the bottom with a layer of graham crackers trying to fill in all the spaces. Then pour a layer of pudding over the crackers. Line with another layer of crackers and pour a layer of alternating flavor pudding. Keep layering and alternating until you’ve used up all your pudding. Should be about 3 layers. Make sure you leave some pudding for the top layer. You can also double the amount of pudding if you like thick pudding layers.

When done layering, pop in the refrigerator for a couple of hours until it’s set. When ready to serve, just cut into square servings on a plate and top with whipped cream. I’m telling you, this is fool proof and delicious. You will look like a rock star.
