How to be a Cheapeater in a not so cheap eatery

Opia Would you like to dine in a restaurant that’s out of your budget? Be creative and think outside of the box. Lunch may be good option. I recently met a friend for lunch at Opia in the Renaissance Hotel. Very nice but a bit pricey. First glance at the menu and you’d think, this is not in the budget. With a little creativity, you won’t have to break the bank. Their menu offered a number of  appetizer salads ($9) that allowed you to add a piece of grilled chicken or fish for an additional $5. Perfect for me. My date ordered from their 3 course Prix Fix Lunch Menu for $24.95. He ate his caesar salad and chicken paillard with frites.  I enjoyed my tasty and satisfying fig and organic green salad with grilled salmon. We ended the meal with the  most sinfully delicous chocolate mousse with fresh whipped cream and berries from his menu.

                                                                                       Cheapeating never tasted so good.
